Bestman Briere and Jummai Abdulahi emerged as winners in the men’s and ladies’ categories, respectively, at the 2024 TotalEnergies Charity Golf Tournament held at the Lakowe Golf Resort in Lagos over the weekend.Since its inception in 2011, the TotalEnergies Charity Golf Tournament has been a key event in the company’s annual calendar, blending friendly competition with a mission to raise funds for charity homes. The proceeds help alleviate the costs of assistive devices, medications, therapy, counselling, and awareness efforts required to improve the lives of those under care.Simbi Wabote claimed the second-best men’s award, while Abubakar Hassan finished in third place. In the ladies’ category, Abdulahi triumphed over Ogamdi Akalamudo and Darlene Cobham, who secured the second and third spots, respectively.Abdulahi also claimed the Longest Drive Award (Ladies), while Phillipa O. won the Nearest Drive Award for Ladies. In the men’s category, Michael Rollard took home the Longest Drive Award, while Ayo Abe won the Nearest Drive Award.The event also saw other accolades, including the Veteran’s Prize, awarded to Yemi Ajibola, the Best Male Staff Award, presented to Jean-Christophe Agrati, and the Best Female Staff Award, which went to Adesua-Adewole.In his address, the Managing Director of TotalEnergies Upstream Companies in Nigeria, Mr. Matthieu Bouyer, highlighted the tournament as an opportunity to create value for partners and underscore the company’s commitment to balancing sports with philanthropy. “The TotalEnergies Charity Golf is an integral part of our Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.
