Zubara Global Unveils Agribusiness Institute

Zubara Global Services Limited has entered into a partnership with the Tech for Agriculture and Community (TAC) Africa Initiative to establish the Afri AGRITECH Institute.

Afri AGRITECH Institute is a new initiative aimed at reducing crime and unemployment among vulnerable groups through smart agribusiness training and youth empowerment.

The partners, in a joint statement, said the initiative would deploy agriculture and technology as tools to empower youth, create jobs, and restore peace in crime-prone and disaster-affected communities.

Promise Chizara, Chief Executive Officer of Zubara Global Services Limited, said the institute would bridge the gap between youth vulnerability and sustainable income.

Chizara said, “We at Zubara Farms Limited are proud to join TAC Africa in turning agribusiness into a tool for social stability and technological advancement. Agriculture is more than just food; it is empowerment, a means by which people can get out of poverty and out of violence.”

The institute, jointly implemented by both organisations, will focus on four core objectives: reducing crime through agriculture-based entrepreneurship, empowering youth with agritech and business skills, creating sustainable income-generating cooperatives, and fostering peace in at-risk communities.

The programme targets young people between the ages of 15 and 30, women seeking financial inclusion, ageing-out or vulnerable youth, and smallholder farmers in need of modern techniques.

According to the statement, activities will include smart agribusiness training bootcamps, tech-enabled resource access, youth-led agritech hubs, cooperatives, and community outreach initiatives focused on peacebuilding.

The partners estimate that the programme will result in “a sixfold reduction in youth-involved crime in the targeted areas” and lead to the creation of over 200 agribusiness jobs and 300 agritech jobs.

“This programme marks a pivotal milestone in Zubara Global Services Limited’s ambition to build resilient agricultural communities through innovation, partnership, and impact-driven development,” the statement added.

Zubara Farms, a subsidiary of Zubara Global Services, is an agricultural consulting and development firm providing services in agribusiness development, farm management, youth training, and cooperative support.

TAC Africa is a non-profit organisation that delivers peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and digital access programmes through community-driven technological solutions.

Both organisations added that the Afri AGRITECH Institute would serve as a model for addressing youth delinquency and unemployment through inclusive and tech-driven agricultural development.
