Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has been honoured with an Award of Excellence in recognition of the company’s strong support and commitment to the welfare of senior construction staff across Nigeria by the Construction and Civil Engineering Senior Staff Association (CCESSA), an affiliate of the Trade Union Congress (TUC).
The award was presented during CCESSA’s first quadrennial delegates’ conference held over the weekend, where the union commended Julius Berger for maintaining what it described as a model partnership with the association.
Otunba Comrade Ayodeji Adeyemo, National President of CCESSA, praised the company for its consistency in backing the association’s activities and initiatives.
Adeyemo said, “Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has been very supportive of CCESSA. Because of how they’ve stood by us, they have become a pillar to the association. We deemed it fit to honour Julius Berger for their consistency and the support we have enjoyed over the years. CCESSA is the body representing all senior construction workers, just as the junior staff are represented by NSEU. For us, the relationship with Julius Berger has been remarkable.”
Receiving the award on behalf of the company, Alh. Dr. Abdulaziz Kaita, Director of Administration at Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, expressed gratitude to the association and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to deepening collaboration with industry stakeholders.
Kaita said, “On behalf of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, we say a big thank you to CCESSA for this recognition. We work together, we collaborate together, for the betterment of all workers and the company as a whole. We have a robust working relationship with CCESSA, and we look forward to more collaboration in the future.”
