Kenyon International, an oil firm, has announced plans to focus on reviving dormant oil wells, deploy flexible pipeline technologies and supporting Nigeria’s refining capacity to harness the full hydrocarbon value chain.
Dr. Victor Ekpenyong, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Kenyon International, made this known at the 10th year anniversary celebration of the firm in Lagos at the weekend, while reaffirming its commitment to innovation and growth in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
Ekpenyong, who noted that there is the need for the country to maximise its oil and gas resources before fully embracing energy transition, projected that the next decade of its firm’s operation would be a period of innovation and strategic partnerships aimed at boosting Nigeria’s production to over three million barrels per day.
He added, “Nobody should push us to abandon our God-given natural resources prematurely. We must extract, process, and consume what we have to industrialise before thinking of transition.”
Ekpenyong recalled how the firm, which began operations in 2015 has since grown into a critical player in the oil and gas services industry, contributing significantly to Nigeria’s production output. He said, “Kenyon International has been thriving since inception because of the solutions we offer to the oil and gas service sector. Today, Nigeria is producing over a million barrels of oil daily, and we are glad to be part of the companies driving that stability.”
Ekpenyong said the firm remains active in brownfield operations and is leveraging both homegrown and foreign technology to maximise output from ageing assets. He added that the company is resourceful and committed to creating value across the hydrocarbon chain.
