The Aesthetic Clinic Delivers 1000 Free Skincare Consultations in a Day

The Aesthetic Clinic (TAC) has provided more than 1,000 free skincare consultations in a single day, marking a record for the largest global initiative of its kind.

The consultations were conducted at TAC’s Ikeja, Lagos branch and extended virtually to participants worldwide. The campaign, held to mark National Skin Care Awareness Month, observed in September, aimed to educate the public on skin health, safe practices, and early intervention. Clinical Director Dr Fola David said the initiative was designed to remove barriers to access, allowing anyone who registered to receive expert advice regardless of location.

Dr David added, “The skin is the largest organ of the body, and it reflects what’s going on inside. So often, people overlook it until there’s a major concern. This initiative is about helping people take that very first step toward healthier skin and doing so without cost being a barrier.”

Clients who participated in the consultations were subsequently offered treatments at 60 percent off their first session. Oluwatosin Mesioye, TAC Branch Manager at Ikeja, emphasised the social aspect of the initiative, noting that more people are seeking to feel confident in their natural skin rather than relying on makeup.

The consultations addressed a wide range of skin conditions, with hyperpigmentation and acne identified as the most prevalent concerns. TAC applied a structured approach, reviewing each case in advance to ensure clients were attended to by the appropriate specialist, whether a dermatologist or an aesthetician.

Mesioye said, “Consultation is critical, because sometimes what you think you need isn’t what your skin actually requires. The results, not the promises, are what convince people.”

Beyond the awareness campaign, TAC offers a full range of aesthetic services, including facials, Botox, fillers, microneedling, chemical peels, and specialised treatments tailored to individual needs. Mesioye emphasised that the clinic’s focus on results, affordability, and professional care has earned the trust of clients.

Dr David confirmed that the initiative will become an annual tradition, with plans to expand the number of consultations globally. “This year we served 1,000. Next year, we’re aiming for 5,000 consultations worldwide. We’re committed to making skin health accessible, and we’ll keep raising the bar.”

Mesioye advised, “You don’t have to bleach your skin or drastically alter it to be beautiful. Be proud of your natural skin, and if you choose to enhance it, let it be healthy and guided by professionals.”
