The Association of Digital Marketing Professionals (ADMARP) has announced the appointment of Zion Rufus, Senior Brand and Content Strategist at Livespot360, as Vice President, Communications & Events for the 2026 administrative year. This appointment highlights the Association’s renewed emphasis on clarity, credibility, and strategic storytelling within Nigeria’s digital marketing sector.
An acclaimed content strategist and communications expert, Rufus brings a unique combination of journalistic discipline, brand insight, and emotionally resonant storytelling to the ADMARP Executive Council. Her appointment was the result of an open community recommendation process and a thorough review by the outgoing Council, reaffirming ADMARP’s commitment to merit-based leadership and professional excellence.
Currently at Livespot360, Nigeria’s leading integrated creative solutions firm, Rufus has established a reputation for transforming complex business objectives into clear, engaging content that fosters engagement and measurable market impact. Her work spans brand strategy, public relations, and digital communications, with a focus on cultivating long-term brand affinity.
Throughout her career, Rufus has contributed to marketing communications, trade journalism, and digital strategy, shaping narratives for over 500 brands and organisations. Her portfolio includes projects for international and regional institutions such as the United Nations SDG Book Club (Namibia Chapter), as well as numerous corporate, consumer, and cultural brands.
Her background in journalism remains a defining strength. Before joining Livespot360, Rufus held notable roles across the media and marketing landscape, including Associate Editor at Marketing Edge Publications, Creative Director for MMA2’s Gate B2 Airport Magazine, and Digital Content Officer at ADMARP — experiences that give her a deep, insider understanding of the Association’s mission, community, and evolution.
Her extensive industry recognition includes awards such as Marketing Journalist of the Year at the Nigerian Marketing Awards and Brand Journalist of the Year by the Advertisers Association of Nigeria, honours that attest to her craft and strategic influence.
In addition to her corporate work, Rufus is a published author. Her books, *Diary of a Lagos Girl* and *Diary of a Career Gold-Digger*, explore Nigerian life, ambition, and identity with wit and insight, demonstrating her ability to connect with audiences on a human level.
As Vice President, Communications & Events, Rufus will oversee ADMARP’s external communications, stakeholder engagement, and messaging strategy — aligning the organisation’s voice with its broader mission of promoting professional standards, ethical practice, and ongoing learning in digital marketing. Her role also involves supporting ADMARP’s positioning as a credible, globally aligned industry body.
She joins a five-member Executive Council led by President Elizabeth Anuoluwapo Ogunseye, Manager of Product & Lifestyle Marketing at Sterling Bank. Other members include Adetunji Adelekan (Vice President, Learning & Development), Lekan Lawal (Vice President, Membership), and Ireti Anu Akiwumi (Vice President, Finance). The leadership team reflects a diverse mix of banking, media, technology, and digital strategy expertise.
Commenting on the appointments, outgoing ADMARP President Stanislaus Martins described the new Council as “the very best of Nigeria’s digital marketing talent,” noting that their collective experience and vision will steer the organisation into a new era of innovation and industry impact.
With her new role, Rufus is expected to play a pivotal part in redefining ADMARP’s storytelling — internally to its expanding membership and externally to regulators, partners, and the wider business community. Her leadership signals a strategic move towards more deliberate communication, sharper positioning, and narratives that reflect both the maturity and future potential of Nigeria’s digital marketing industry.
The new Executive Council’s tenure begins on 1 January 2026.
