The 68th Annual Grammy Awards, held on February 1, 2026, at the Peacock Theatre inside Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, delivered a defining night for global music, with major wins spread across pop, rap, rock, and international categories.
Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny stood out as one of the night’s biggest winners, securing Album of the Year for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS and Record of the Year for DtMF. The dual victories placed him at the centre of the ceremony and reinforced his influence on the global music scene.
Kendrick Lamar also had a dominant night, converting his nine nominations into multiple wins. His critically acclaimed project GNX won Best Rap Album, while luther featuring SZA claimed Best Melodic Rap Performance, further cementing his position as one of hip-hop’s most impactful voices.
Billie Eilish emerged victorious in the competitive Song of the Year category, with WILDFLOWER edging out entries from Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Doechii, and Sabrina Carpenter. Lady Gaga, however, still enjoyed major success, winning Best Pop Vocal Album for MAYHEM and Best Dance Pop Recording for Abracadabra.
In the closely watched Best New Artist category, British singer Olivia Dean claimed the award, overcoming strong contenders including Leon Thomas, Lola Young and Addison Rae. The win marked a significant milestone in her rising international career.
African music also took centre stage as South African star Tyla won Best African Music Performance for Push 2 Start, continuing her growing recognition on the global awards circuit.
Elsewhere, FKA twigs won Best Dance/Electronic Album for EUSEXUA, Turnstile claimed Best Rock Album with Never Enough, and The Cure secured Best Alternative Music Album for Songs of a Lost World. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Defying Gravity from Wicked.
Behind the scenes, producer Cirkut was named Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, while Amy Allen won Songwriter of the Year, highlighting the creative forces shaping today’s music industry.
The ceremony featured standout performances from Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars with ROSÉ, and other leading artists, rounding off a night that reflected the evolving sound and diversity of global music.
