Vesti, a provider of legal and financial services for immigrants, has announced plans to create 1,500 software engineering jobs by 2027.
Olusola Amusan, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, made the disclosure recently at the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art software engineering office in Lagos.
“At Vesti, bold and audacious goals have driven us toward simplifying immigration processes,” Amusan said in a statement, emphasising the company’s role as a software engineering location of choice and its dedication to developing top talents.
Amusan highlighted Vesti’s internal training programs, employee satisfaction surveys, and success stories as evidence of the company’s commitment to employee growth.
Abimbola Amusan, the Chief Operating Officer at Vesti, discussed how its products empowered Africans to connect with the global market.
He shared success stories, including those of a Nigerian entrepreneur who expanded his business to the US with Vesti’s help and a student who secured funding for overseas studies through Vesti’s financial services.
According to Amusan, Vesti is planning further expansion, with new products and services set to launch across Africa, Asia, and North America.
Early investor Adebayo Adeleke expressed confidence in the company’s growth, noting its cash-positive status in the first half of 2024 and partnerships that had spurred expansion across Africa.
Adeleke highlighted Vesti’s positive impact on the Nigerian economy, particularly in attracting foreign investment and creating jobs.
Adeleke also mentioned plans for future funding rounds and a potential IPO.
Following the press conference, a futurist and social impact investor, Dr Olakunle Soriyan, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, inaugurating the new office called the Centre of Excellence in Software Engineering and Financial Technology.
