Cavista Holdings has revealed plans to enter Nigeria’s energy and mining industries, expanding its investment portfolio to address food insecurity and boost economic development.
The disclosure was made during a gala night hosted in New York, United States, on the sidelines of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The event, organised in partnership with the Corporate Council on Africa and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, sought to attract more foreign direct investment into Africa’s largest economy and support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Niyi John Olajide, Chairman of Cavista Holdings and the Corporate Council on Africa, in his welcome remarks, said Nigeria represents a present-day frontier of value creation, stressing that more direct investments must be channelled into the country to unlock its vast potential.
Olajide said, “Nigeria is not only a future market. It is the present-day frontier of value creation and impact. At Cavista Holdings, our vision is clear: to create value and transform lives. We invest in Africa for three reasons: to create jobs, to create more jobs, and to create even more jobs.”
Olajide highlighted Cavista’s flagship investments, including Agbeyewa Farms, Africa’s largest cassava farm; the transformation of Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort into a leading hospitality destination; and Cavista Technologies and Payzeep, which are powering Africa’s digital economy. He added that the company is now set to expand into energy and mining as part of its diversification strategy.
The exclusive event drew private sector investors, international finance leaders, and top government officials from the U.S. and Africa.
Olajide reaffirmed Cavista’s commitment to aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that the company’s investments are geared towards job creation, economic diversification, and improving food security in Nigeria.
