The Evolution Children Choir recently held their third concert and the first edition of ‘The Confluence’, at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos, and their performances left guests entertained.
The opening performance was by violinist, Shiloh Kounasso, who rendered a song titled, ‘You Say’.
Speaking at the event, the convener, Philip Yahweh, noted that the purpose of the concert was to make the event a melting pot for the performing children drawn from different social, racial and ethnic backgrounds living in Lagos, with a view to using their skills to spread messages of love, hope and unity.
He said, “At this inaugural confluence, songs rendered include gospel, afro soul, pop and jazz. We did this to distract the children from (social) vices. The composition of the Evolution Choir helps to keep the children busy in addition to eradicating vices from society.”
