Flutterwave’s Send App, a leading cross-border remittance solution in Africa, has unveiled a new campaign titled “Send App Postcards,” offering users a personalised year-in-review experience that transforms their 2025 remittance activities into visual, shareable digital stories.
The initiative shifts the focus from simple financial transactions to the human stories behind every remittance, highlighting the sacrifices, commitments, and emotional significance of money sent across borders. The campaign captures diverse remittance purposes, including tuition payments, medical emergencies, weddings, and routine support for loved ones, emphasising how each transaction represents care and responsibility.
Harvey Bahia, Head of SendApp Business at Flutterwave, said the campaign aims to celebrate users’ acts of love and support. “Sending money home is often a quiet act of love. We wanted to make some noise for our users, moving beyond the transaction receipts to celebrate the love and care that defines living across borders,” he explained. Bahia added that Send App Postcards allows users to visualise the real impact of the funds sent in 2025, illustrating the lives touched and connections maintained throughout the year.
The postcards, available within the Send App on both Android and iOS devices, enable users to view, save, and share their personalised remittance stories across multiple platforms. Each Postcard features a “Worth of Love” metric, reflecting the total amount sent to family and friends in 2025, alongside unique sender persona badges such as The Hero, The Rain Maker, The Globalist, The Heart Stopper, and The Steady Supporter.
The campaign also spotlights the African diaspora, particularly in the UK, US, and Europe, who remain key contributors to family and community welfare back home. By turning a year’s worth of remittances into a narrative of connection, Flutterwave demonstrates the social and emotional value of cross-border financial support.
Send App Postcards are positioned to strengthen user engagement, foster pride in local and diaspora communities, and enhance visibility of the human impact of remittances, going beyond traditional metrics of foreign exchange volume and financial flows.
