Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called for extra support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commending his economic reforms and calling for unity within the Southwest to support Tinubu’s initiatives.
Ganduje spoke in Akure on 28th of October, during the inauguration of the APC’s 305-member National Campaign Council for the upcoming Ondo State governorship election, scheduled for November 16.
Ganduje described Tinubu’s economic policies as “life-changing reforms” aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s economy.
Ganduje said: “President Tinubu is doing a commendable job for our country. He has implemented reforms to solidify our institutions for social and economic progress.”
With the president hailing from the Southwest, Ganduje emphasised the need for regional backing.
He urged the campaign council, led by Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to unify party efforts to retain Ondo State under APC governance.
He added: “We want Ondo to remain with APC, and supporting the president from this region will showcase our collective strength.” He urged party members to mobilise fully for a victorious election, ensuring a smooth, fair, and democratic process.
Governor Sanwo-Olu assured that the APC’s campaign would focus on substantive issues rather than divisive tactics.
