Guinness Nigeria Appoints Olukemi Ogunsakin As Head Of Corporate Communications, Sustainability, And CSR

Guinness Nigeria has appointed Olukemi Ogunsakin as its new Head of Corporate Communications, Sustainability, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), placing a seasoned communications and sustainability expert at the forefront of the company’s strategic agenda.

The appointment underscores Guinness Nigeria’s commitment to aligning reputation management, purpose, and long-term value creation while strengthening engagement with consumers, regulators, communities, and other critical stakeholders.

In her new role, Ogunsakin will oversee the company’s corporate communications strategy, sustainability initiatives, and CSR programmes. She will manage stakeholder engagement, corporate storytelling, regulatory relations, and community-focused projects, ensuring that Guinness Nigeria’s business objectives align closely with its social and environmental commitments.

Ogunsakin brings over 14 years of professional experience spanning corporate communications, corporate affairs, sustainability, and stakeholder management across the telecommunications and FMCG sectors. Her expertise includes navigating complex communication environments, handling crisis management, and executing reputation-building strategies.

Before joining Guinness Nigeria, Ogunsakin held senior leadership roles at Coca-Cola HBC, where she managed corporate affairs, sustainability programmes, CSR initiatives, and community engagement efforts. She also served in regulatory and government relations capacities at ntel, supporting business enabling environments while overseeing sustainability and CSR initiatives.

Her academic and professional background reinforces her qualifications for the role. She holds an MBA from the University of South Wales, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Olabisi Onabanjo University, and professional certifications from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management. She is also an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

Guinness Nigeria’s appointment of Ogunsakin comes as the company advances its Build for More philosophy, which emphasises responsible growth, inclusivity, and sustainable impact. Her leadership is expected to integrate corporate communications, sustainability, and CSR into a unified strategy that strengthens trust and amplifies the company’s purpose-led mission across all stakeholder groups.
