Hennessy Nigeria, Severe-Nature Redefine Culture with Bold Fashion-Meets-Music Showcase

Earlier this year, style met sound in a bold and immersive celebration of culture as Hennessy Nigeria and premium streetwear label Severe-Nature joined forces for The Hennessy Reboot.

Held as part of the Hennessy Artistry platform, this landmark event transformed Lagos’ fashion and nightlife landscape with a dynamic blend of music, identity, and creative expression.

The partnership introduced Hennessy’s rich brand heritage to a new, style-conscious generation by integrating Severe-Nature’s cutting-edge aesthetic into an evening that was both electric and culturally resonant.

A striking pop-up experience designed to reflect Severe-Nature’s core values and Hennessy’s sleek sophistication was at the heart of the event.

Guests got the opportunity to explore a curated installation showcasing exclusive, limited-edition pieces available for purchase. The space itself mirrored an elevated streetwear gallery—refined, raw, and unmistakably African.

A key highlight of the night was a powerful live runway show unveiling Severe-Nature’s newest collection. Models took over the runway in statement silhouettes that echoed Gen Z’s embrace of authenticity and bold self-expression.

In addition, the collection featured oversized cuts, layered textures, utilitarian details, and prominent brand insignias. True to Severe-Nature’s minimalist-yet-bold design ethos, these pieces were enhanced with thoughtful additions like custom jewellery and elevated tailoring—an homage to the refined legacy of Hennessy.

The show illustrated that African streetwear and global luxury can coexist seamlessly, all while preserving cultural authenticity. The event sent a strong message of self-worth and pride: that one’s lifestyle, heritage, and energy are not only valid—they are meant to be celebrated and worn boldly.

A musical performance by Afropop sensation Reekado Banks closed the evening on a high note. Delivering a string of hits, his set left the audience energised and affirmed the event’s commitment to music as a vehicle for cultural expression.

The audience was filled with fashion-forward influencers and tastemakers, including Elozonam, Benson Edo, Nimiie, Ifeoma, Emmanuella Odiley, and Korty—all of whom brought unique energy and visibility to the experience.

With The Hennessy Reboot, Hennessy Nigeria and Severe-Nature have set a new benchmark for how fashion, music, and storytelling can converge to shape the future of African culture. This was not merely an event—it was a cultural proclamation of what comes next.
