Nigerian artist, Miriam Nwosah, unveiled her highly anticipated art exhibition themed ‘Childhood Bliss: Healing for the Inner Child’.
The exhibition was held from November 1 to 8, 2024, at Bogobiri House, 9 Maitama Sule Street, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The exhibition invited viewers on a transformative journey of self-reflection, growth, and rediscovery.
Inspired by the simplicity and wonder of childhood, the exhibition captures the essence of innocence and fearlessness, encouraging audiences to reconnect with their inner child and embrace the resilience and creativity that lie within.
Each piece draws upon the joyful freedom of childhood, evoking memories of a time when playfulness and exploration were second nature.
Nwosah’s work aims to inspire viewers to reclaim their sense of confidence and creativity as they navigate life’s challenges.
Nwosah said: “My artwork reflects not only my personal life experiences but sometimes socio-political themes as well. While digital art and photo manipulation are my preferred mediums, I’ve also worked with mixed media and acrylics. This exhibition is deeply personal, merging my graphic design background with influences from photography and filmmaking.”
The artist encouraged her audience to engage deeply with each piece, practicing mindfulness through breathing and reflection.
