Oluwapelumi Olayinka, a United Kingdom-based Nigerian filmmaker and entrepreneur is promoting Adire fabric globally to celebrate and preserve Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.
As the founder of Ektaktos Collectibles, Olayinka has said she wants to elevate this traditional textile by transforming it into a modern fashion statement that resonates with diverse audiences.
According to Olayinka, her mission is to connect people worldwide with the stories and craftsmanship behind Adire, making it accessible and appealing to markets, particularly in the United Kingdom and Canada, among others.
Over the past four years, Olayinka has dedicated herself to showcasing the beauty of Adire through her brand, which offers a variety of ready-to-wear clothing.
